Intellectual Property
The sending and evaluation of the received manuscripts implies that the author(s) declare to be the original and exclusive owner of the economic and moral rights of the author on the article, in accordance with the provisions of Ley N° 17.366 sobre Propiedad Intelectual (Chile) and that, in case of having used other people's works in the creation of the article, either totally or partially, they declare to have the respective authorizations or licenses of use of their respective owners or that their use is expressly protected by law.
The author expressly releases the Instituto de Estudios Internacionales de la Universidad de Chile from any further liability for any legal, regulatory or contractual infringement that he or she may have committed or may have committed in relation to the work, and undertakes to repair any damage resulting from the infringement of these or other rights.
The author author authorizes the Instituto de Estudios Internacionales de la Universidad de Chile, to exercise, by itself or through third parties expressly authorized by the author, the rights specified below, with respect to the submitted article:
The author(s), by sending their manuscripts, declare that they are the owners of their intellectual property. Once the article is published, the authors maintain it, as well as the right to be identified as such in the uses given to it, as well as to have the integrity of their work respected. The uses of the articles are subject to the Creative Commons license, regarding their attribution, non-commercial use and modification: Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 4.0 International license.
The transfer of copyright allows Estudios Internacionales to publish the approved articles in their digital and physical editions, allow their downloading by third parties, translate them into other languages and use the texts and images for promotional purposes. In addition, you are authorized to exercise the necessary rights for its publication, editing, reproduction, adaptation and distribution, both in print and digital format, through the same journal.
Authors may make additional arrangements or negotiations to publish their article non-exclusively in other media (for example as book chapters or in institutional repositories), as long as they refer to the first publication made in Estudios Internacionales.
