Abstract

This article runs along the last five years of the relation between Argentina and Chile, using a methodology that combines levels of government and “different diplomacies”. It utilizes an integrated perspective, considering the traditional channels of Foreign Policy and, at the same time, the new and wider ways governments forge linkages at the regional and provincial levels, constructing an increasing interdependence. It goes to demonstrate that these linkages exhibit continuity and sustainability across different presidencies both in Chile and Argentina, and although some variations come up form time to time, they do not affect the core of this relationship and its projection to the future.
