Abstract

Although behaviorism has recently been incorporated into the studies of international relations in Latin America, its contribution cannot be ignored insofar as it has implied a refocusing of research and its empiricist accent. To verify the above, the present work refers firstly to the methodological validity of the behavioral scheme and its influence on the social sciences in general. Later, we explain the validity of this current in the processes of cooperation and confrontation in the Latin American region and suggest the development of a model to diagnose conflicts and evaluate feasible solutions, proposing working hypotheses according to three possible scenarios.
