The new conditions that prevail in the Latin American and world economic panorama have fostered the development of a renewed integrationist spirit in the subcontinent, characterized by the opening of markets, the signing of multiple cooperation agreements and the convergence of the different schemes and models of integration. This work sheds light on the future economic outlook of the subcontinent, taking into account the integrationist ideal, prevailing since the beginning of the 19th century, and the identity of the countries of the region, based on the new globalizing dynamics that the union of Latin American countries requires, in order to present themselves to the world as a community of political, economic and cultural interests, which is necessary in the face of new challenges and opportunities.
