Abstract

The Institute of International Studies of the University of Chile has already completed an important trajectory in its academic activity, which spans a period close to forty years. Three generations of academics have been the protagonists of this trajectory. This issue of International Studies has been dedicated to these three generations; bringing together representative works from each one, which shows the inexhaustible intellectual creativity that characterizes the institution. Each of these contributions is representative of this contribution, from those that acutely examine problems of contemporary foreign policy, those that project the main trends in international law, to those that promote new perspectives on international trade relations, without missing, by any means, the rich perspective derived from historical experiences.
