This work aims to study the particularities of the Pearl River Delta area as a motor of Chinese economic development, based on a strong link with its adjacent geographical areas, such as Macao, Hong Kong or Taiwan, as well as with the rest of the region and the world. China is much more than the mainland, and constitutes a vast network of human, commercial and investment ties between territories with different legal status. In this process, a network of exchanges and interactions at all levels has been gradually built, which forces the actors to adapt and promote original actions. The position of the Delta is strategic, since it is one of China's windows to the world and also generates a very important pole of attraction, which forces us to seriously evaluate the course to be followed by its extraordinary process of economic development.Downloads
