Abstract

Asia Pacific is the region with the more dynamic economies of the world and Chile has defined it as of the greatest national interest. However, our diplomacy seems to lack a state policy, duly planned and with the participation of all the relevant actors ¡n order to pursue important objectives in that area of the world. Jt is important to recognize that Chile has obtained important  achievements in Asia. But the vision of  Chile as a bridge between Asia and South America or as platform for business is yet far from becoming a reality. We have to keep track of new developments in the regional integration of Asia and overall, a closer look on China.
