Abstract

This article examines political risk in Africa, highlighting its heterogeneity and roots in colonial legacies and governance failures. Youth exclusion, the "resource curse," climate change, and external interference catalyze instability. It posits that people-centered security, effective democratization, and inclusive social compacts are essential for forging lasting, sustainable peace across the continent.
