La abducción de relaciones peligrosas entre potencias mundiales

¿Cuáles son las relaciones entre potencias mundiales más propensas al conflicto militar? Este es el problema de investigación que se aborda en este artículo. A partir de una definición específica de qué Estados son potencias mundiales y, tomando como unidades de análisis a 180 tipos de díadas diferentes entre potencias mundiales que se constataron en el período 1816-2015, mediante la aplicación de técnicas estadísticas de regresiones de Poisson, el estudio aporta evidencia empírica sobre los factores estructurales, de carácter bilateral, que han ejercido influencia significativa para que algunas relaciones bilaterales entre potencias mundiales hayan sido más propensas al conflicto. Entre los resultados empíricos más sustantivos del estudio se identifica que, las relaciones bilaterales entre potencias mundiales con altos niveles de rivalidades y bajos niveles de interdependencia y simetría comercial, han sido más propensas al conflicto que otras.
