Abstract

After World War II, bicameral systems prevailed in the world, and our country has not been the exception. This work highlights the importance of bicameralism as a legislative system and its impact on the law-making process. It classifies and studies the powers of the Senate in our constitutional order, distinguishing between those that are exercised within the framework of the bicameral system, those of an exclusive nature and those that are consultative.
