The 1980 Constitution substantially maintained in its art. 80, although of course with variations that are still relevant, the power that the Supreme Court was already granted by art. 86 of the 1925 Constitution, to declare the inapplicability, in specific cases, of the legal precepts insofar as they are contrary to the Fundamental Law.
